Central Alberta Cyclist Attempting Spin World Record
I need your help!
This is a mass email to local clubs, charities, media, and crazy people that are inspired by crazy dreams.
My name is Ryan Correy. I'm a 27-year-old elite level road and mountain bike racer from the small farm town of Bentley, Alberta (Canada). You can learn more about me at www.ryansdream.com.
Starting October 4th at Best Body Fitness, I will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for “longest time to continuously cycle on a spinning machine.” The record currently stands at 192 hours (8 days).
I am in great need of volunteer support (in the form of official witnesses for my attempt). GWR rules state that I must have two witnesses on at all times, rotating in four hour shifts = 98 shifts (minimum) to beat the record.
For local clubs and charities, think of this as a great team building "exercise" (you don't have to spin for four hours!), a chance to promote your message via a live 24-hr cam, be a part of my blog posts/tweets, and get in front of our awesome Best Body gym members.
And for any media that pick up on this, I know that your main question will be "why?"....after eight days, I hope to convince you and your audience to question, "why not me?"
If you would like some more information, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you kindly!
