- Ride the bike lanes. The most common complaint I hear is that people are not using the lanes. Of course, it really helps if you ride them in a safe and predictable manner.
- Take part in the conversation, both with your friends and in more formal ways. For example, be sure to fill in the City of Red Deer’s survey on bike lanes at reddeer.ca/bike lanes. As well, we are being clobbered on websites such ashttp://seeclickfix.com/can_red-deer. Any comments you can add will really help.
- Make a note on your calendar to be a part of our annual ride which takes place Saturday, September 15. We will begin at St. Thomas School on 39th Street at 10:00 am and ride the bike lanes to the Farmers’ Market and the purpose is to celebrate the new lanes.
