two events of interest.

There are two events that members of the Central Alberta Bicycle Club may be interested in knowing about, and perhaps attending.

1) The Red Deer Association of Bicycle Commuters RDABC  is holding a meeting Wednesday March 27 at 7 p.m. to discuss progress and recent events with the bike lane pilot project. There is a notice of motion to City Council and another petition circulating to remove the lanes immediately, rather than waiting through the summer to the end of the project's run. If you or other CABC members are interested to come, you will be welcome. The meeting is at the boardroom of CABIS (Central Alberta Brain Injury Society) downtown (301-4805 48 St, one block east of the downtown Servus building, right beside the little white church building). If you could circulate this on your club's media site, that would be wonderful.

2) On a happier note: the annual Berry Architecture Wellness Ride takes place this August 24. As you may know, George Berry is part of the group bringing the Tour of Alberta professional race to Red Deer. He is working on getting cyclist Tyler Hamilton and his coach to be celebrity riders for our 100 km fundraiser event. I am attaching a pdf file which you may wish to circulate or post on your site.
