Justice Water

Hi Savy Cycle Supporters. I have a great opportunity to ride this weekend for a great cause. Justice Water aims to empower developing communities with multipliable and sustainable water technologies, using resources that are available, affordable, and acceptable to their culture and region.

Besides wanting to support a local Red Deer friend that works with Justice Water, here are some Statistics that really made me grateful for the water I have access to:
1. 780 million people do not have access to safe water supply sources. (That is about one out of every nine people)
2. About 1.8 million people die every year due to preventable diarrheal diseases. Most of them are children under the age of five. (I have two kids under 5!)
3. In Africa alone, people spend 40 billion hours every year just walking for water. Women and children often bear the burden of collecting water, having to walk several hours a day collecting water from polluted sources. (What do you keep yourself busy with?)

Here is what you can do to help
1. RIDE WITH US. Though the team has been put together last minute consider this invitation to ride with us on October 4 in Red Deer. Sign up at
2. SUPPORT US FINANCIALLY. Go to and search for "Justice Water" and support the team or individuals on the team. Just click the donate link.
3. SPREAD THE WORD. Time is short but we can reach our goal if you help us out.

Thanks to all who have and will support us.
