Weekend Breakfast Club Rides

Description:  These are year round no-drop rides.  The type of riding is dependant on the season. Typically you can expect road bikes from March to September,  mountain bikes in the fall, fat tire bikes/mountain bikes in the winter and cyclocross/mountain bikes in the spring.  We dress for the weather and rarely cancel.  In our experience, even at -20C, an hour or so outside is more rewarding than sitting on the trainer.  Please come join us for a ride to see if you like it. We are a friendly bunch.

Location:  Departs from the Red Deer  Sheraton parking lot at
Time:  The rides start at 9:30 am on both Saturday and Sunday
Ride Leaders/Contacts:  Evan Harbinson/Ted Dahms - Contact via Central Alberta Bicycle Club Facebook group page at

Join the club and join our Facebook page as members often place impromptu rides as they look for riding partners.

Tuesday Night Road Race Series
From May to September every Tuesday night is Road Race night.
Races start at 6:30PM and are held at different locations around Central Alberta.
We have road races from 45km to 70km in distance. Time Trials and Criteriums.

Mountain Trips.
The club often organizes both road and mountain bike trips to the mountains where we car pool and head off for the day.  Watch the blog and Facebook for updates.

Club membership and ABA membership is required to participate in club activities, namely for insurance reasons.  If you are new to the CABC you are welcome to come out for one to two "test rides" to make sure we are the club for you, but after that it is expected that you purchase the CABC and ABA memberships.  See the Membership tab for details.
